Terms of Service
Last reviewed: June 2026
Effective date: to be confirmed upon legal review.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Mendarix (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
Mendarix is a website-health monitoring service. We scan publicly accessible URLs you provide, calculate a health score, and deliver diagnostic reports and fix recommendations. Scans are limited to public URLs only — we do not bypass authentication or access private content.
3. Free scans
We offer a limited number of free scans (currently 3 per hour per IP address) for evaluation purposes. Free scans carry no warranty and may be rate-limited or restricted at our discretion.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payments, taxes, and receipts on our behalf. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Paddle’s terms and conditions in addition to these Terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled.
- Pricing is displayed in the currency shown at checkout and may vary by region due to tax.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings or by emailing support@mendarix.com.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Scan URLs you do not own or have explicit permission to scan.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding scan results derived from your URL), is owned by Mendarix and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Scan results are based on observable signals and should not be treated as professional security audits. We do not guarantee that using our recommendations will eliminate all website issues.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mendarix’s total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mendarix is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
